Frequently asked questions
Here are some common questions about events.
Singing Fiesta follows a strict timeline to ensure fairness for all participants. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstance, including illness or travel. We recommend planning ahead to meet all monthly deadlines.
Once a video is submitted and the deadline has passed, changes are not allowed. Please ensure you are confident with your chosen piece before submitting.
During the Qualification Rounds, participants will receive scores only. For the Main Event, each performer will receive a comment form with individual feedback from the judges.
Students must choose a new piece for each Main Event round. Pieces used during the Qualification Rounds may be repeated. All repertoire is free choice, as long as it fits the student's level and is performed from memory.
Judges primarily assess how well the piece is performed, not just how difficult it is. A simpler piece played with control, expression, and accuracy can score higher than a difficult piece played with many mistakes.
There will be no official rehearsal or sound check provided on the day of the event. However, families are welcome to rent the Liszthoven Auditorium in advance for private practice. Please contact our admin team to check availability and rates.
